AJ Consultants has been retained WebBank to lead the search for their VP-Debit Card Product Management role. WebBank is a Utah chartered Industrial Bank headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. Job Summary
The Vice President – Debit Card Product Management is responsible for the ongoing development, management, oversight, and growth of the Bank’s debit card products and programs. This position will be the primary point of contact with debit card networks (e.g., Pulse, Star) and strategic partners building and maintaining strong relationships to support product implementation and growth. The VP will ensure compliance with applicable regulations and will oversee risk management and operational activities related to debit card products.
You Will:
- Lead end-to-end management of the Bank’s debit card products, from development to implementation and ongoing optimization.
- Serve as the primary liaison with debit card networks and strategic partners, fostering and maintaining strong relationships.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations related to debit card issuance and management, including network and banking laws.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure risk management, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and partners to develop and launch new debit card products and services.
- Oversee vendor and partner management related to debit card programs, ensuring service levels and compliance standards are met.
- Manage operational oversight of debit card products, including transaction monitoring, dispute resolution, and financial reconciliation.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on debit card products, providing guidance and training to internal teams and strategic partners.
- Coordinate with internal and external audit teams during periodic reviews and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop strategic goals and performance metrics for the debit card program, regularly reporting progress to senior management.
You Should Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience) in finance, business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in financial services, with a focus on payments, card issuance, or debit card product management.
- Strong knowledge of debit card networks, regulatory compliance, fraud, and risk management practices.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with network and strategic partners.
- Demonstrated leadership and managerial experience, including cross-functional team management.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience writing banking debit and credit memos

- Advanced degree in finance, business, or a related field (e.g., MBA, MS).
- Professional background in a regulated banking environment, with a strong grasp of compliance frameworks.
- Direct involvement with FinTech companies and/or strategic partner platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to lead or support the launch of a debit card product.
- Working knowledge of debit network billing structures and reconciliation processes.
