AJC Completes St. Louis President Search
First Mid Bank & Trust hires a new St. Louis-area president The Mattoon, Illinois-based bank named a new regional community bank president in the St. Louis area.
The Mattoon, Illinois-based bank announced Friday it has named Bruce Dyck to succeed Chris Frein in the position. Frein jumped in April to Central Bank of St. Louis, where he is an Executive Vice President and commercial lending manager. Dyck, whose first day at First Mid was June 7, is responsible for business development, community engagement initiatives, and supporting and strengthening lending relationships in First Mid’s St. Louis region. He is based in the Clayton office and oversees 12 commercial lenders. “His exceptional leadership skills, extensive industry experience, and commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences make him the perfect fit for First Mid,” Joe Bruce Dyck FIRST MID BANK & TRUST Dively, chairman and chief executive officer at First Mid, said in a statement. “With Bruce’s expertise, we are confident in our ability to further strengthen our presence in the region and continue providing exceptional financial services to our valued customers.” A 27-year veteran in the banking industry, Dyck comes to First Mid from Busey Bank in Creve Coeur, where he had been a senior vice president since 2018. He also has held executive positions at Reliance Bank in Frontenac; PNC Bank in Clayton; Midwest BankCentre in O’Fallon, Missouri; Southwest Bank of St. Louis in Des Peres; and Bank of America in Chesterfield. “I’m excited about an organization that is really committed to its customers and growing the St. Louis market,” Dyck said.
