About the Scholarship
The AJC Women in Finance Scholarship aims to provide motivation and support for aspiring female professionals in the financial sector. With a one-time award of $2,500.00, this scholarship is designed to ease the financial burden of education and empower the next generation of leaders in finance, economics, and accounting.
At AJC, we are committed to nurturing talent and ambition, providing a steppingstone for students determined to make a lasting impact in the corporate world.
Qualifications
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be in at least their second year of study toward a bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in finance, economics, or accounting
- Be enrolled at a U.S.-based college or university
Important Dates
- Submission Period: October 1st, 2026 – November 30th, 2026
- Selection Announcement: January 2027
- Fund Disbursement: January 2027 (Spring Semester)
Submission Requirements
To apply, please email Stacey Morris at smorris@ajconsultantsllc.com with the following:
- An unofficial transcript (must include your student ID number)
- A letter of recommendation from an academic source (e.g., counselor, department head, or professor)
- A 500-word typed essay on the topic:
"The AJC Women in Finance Scholarship aims to brighten the future of the female workforce. In line with this goal, describe how you intend to support another woman in corporate America in the future."
- Include your full name, mailing address, phone number, and a clear subject line in your email
Selection Process
- Review Stage: All submissions will be reviewed for academic achievements, leadership potential, and vision for empowering women in finance
- Interview Stage: Finalists will be interviewed by a panel of seasoned banking and finance executives (SVP to C-level)
- Final Decision: The selected recipient will have funds sent directly to their college or university to support their Spring semester tuition
Celebrating Our 2025 Winner
We are excited to announce Promise Henry as the recipient of the AJC Women in Finance Scholarship!
Promise is an exceptionally ambitious and intelligent, leadership-driven, and well-spoken individual. She graduated from Wofford College in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance and is currently pursuing her Master of Business Administration at Clemson University.
This July, Promise will begin her professional career with PricewaterhouseCoopers, and she is set to graduate from her MBA program in December 2026. Her academic excellence, leadership mindset, and future goals strongly impressed our panel of banking and finance professionals.
